Guest Speakers

The SDFL Speaker Program brings community leaders into the classroom to teach the same values that are discussed at our summer camps and during the Field Trip Program.  Speakers discuss topics such as the importance of education, interview skills, and the real-life consequences of using drugs and alcohol or having a criminal background.  The SDFL Speaker Program has served over 1,300 students to date at Kennedy High School in Edgewood ISD and Ed White Middle School in North East ISD.  The feedback we’ve received from teachers and parents of students participating in Slam Dunk for Life programs is nothing short of remarkable.  Our programs are making a positive difference in our students!  We continue to be encouraged as an increasing number of people have joined us in providing opportunities for our students to experience a better world.
